Advice is any counsel or suggestion which could influence a player in determining his play, the choice of club or method of making a stroke. Information on the Rules or on matters of public information, such as the position of hazards or the flagstick on the putting green, is not advice.
Be aware: Players shall not engage in conversation with spectators. Conversations with spectators may be construed as advice and the player may be subject to a penalty. |
