Title:  Spectator & Caddy Policies
Detail:

Parents and spectators are welcome at all G.O.L.F. events. However, contestants and spectators (which includes parents) are reminded of Rule 8 concerning advice that carries with it a 2 stroke penalty. For this reason, all spectators are required to stay at least 30 yards from the contestants at all times. We ask that you please follow in front of the players so that you are not in range of the group behind you and can help spot balls for the group you are following. However, while helping to look for lost balls the no communication policy is still in affect. No talking with the contestant is permitted on the course at any time. First offense is a two stroke penalty; second offense is disqualification. There is no warning; the warning is the Spectators’ Notice the competitor will receive at each event. Please refrain from using cellular phone and beepers while on the golf course.

powered carts or caddies

The use of powered carts is prohibited by all players and Gallery members unless otherwise noted in Event Format.  Pulls carts may be used and are the sole responsibility of the competitor.

Caddies are allowed at all TACS events.  Once a caddy begins a round of 18 holes they must finish as a caddy.

Spectator Cart Use

Due to inquiries made about cart use for disabled spectators, we are updating our policy.

Now, those individuals with permanent disabilities/handicap are allowed to use carts to watch the event.

The following guidelines will apply.

  • the individual must provide G.O.L.F. with documentaiton (license sticker, placard) pertaining to their permanent handicap.
  • cart rental is based entirely on the golf course policy where the particular event is being held
  • each individual is limited to cart rental to 2 times per season
  • the individual must request the cart one week prior to the event date in written form (E-Mail, Fax, Mail).  The request must include a photocopy of the handicap license/placard.

Please note that only 3 carts are available per event to be rented, therefore it is important to get your requests in as early as possible.

By not following these guidelines, spectator carts will not be issued.
